The Rigger Initial Training (formerly known as Stage 1) is for personnel who have had little or no training and experience in rigging and lifting operations and who want to start their journey to becoming a competent Rigger in the oil & gas industry.

The target group for Rigger Competence Assessment are personnel that wish to become OPITO-certified competent riggers - having successfully completed the OPITO Rigger Initial Training Standard and Rigger Workplace Experience Logbook or possess sufficient and relevant work experience to be eligible for the OPITO Rigger Competence assessment.

*Confined Space Definition:

Any space of an enclosed nature where there is a risk of death or serious injury from hazardous substances or dangerous conditions within the space or nearby.

A space that is large enough and so configured that a person can bodily enter and perform assigned work and has limited or restricted means for entry or exit and is not designed for continuous human occupancy.

This course can be delivered at our training centre or remotely via Zoom.

This OPITO Approved Basic H2S Training (Practical only) course is for those who require the practical only training from the 9014 OPITO Basic H2S Training.

It is intended for personnel that are, or could be, working in an environment that could become contaminated by H2S gas. Learners have the option to sit the Theory via Zoom Virtual Learning or classroom, and complete the practical units within 3 months to obtain a full 9014 OPITO-approved Basic H2S Certificate.
