For learners wishing to continue their professional development, NEBOSH offers a wide range of internationally recognised qualifications specific to to industries such as process safety, construction, environmental management, and leadership. What is the duration of the course?

The optimum ‘contact time’ for this training programme is seen as 10 days, plus one additional day for the ‘Open Book Exam’.


What are the entry requirements?

There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however, it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

Course Summary

How is the course assessed?

Assessment is a two-step process.

• IG1: A ‘Online' open book examination hosted by NEBOSH to assess what you know; and

• IG2: A practical risk assessment to assess what you can do.

The IG2 assessment is a risk assessment that should be carried out in the learner’s workplace.
