Who is the course for?
The Competence Assessor Training has been developed for individuals who are designated to perform the role of competence assessor within their organisation. This course imparts the initial training requirements to enable trainee Assessors to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out competence assessments.
What certificate will i receive?
Successful candidates will be awarded with an OPITO Qualification
What can the course lead to?
Upon successful completion of the training, Assessors my progress and complete OPITO Workplace Evidence and obtain a formal Scottish Qualification Credit Framework Level 8 Vocational Assessor Qualification.
What is the duration of the course?
This is a self-paced LMS, which can be completed at your own pace, however, all units and the workplace evidence requirements must be completed within 12 months.
What are the entry requirements?
Candidates must hold the OPITO Approved - Assessor Initial Training Certificate before beginning the OPITO Assessor Vocation Qualification.
Candidates MUST have access to two candidates and the ability to assess them in the work place.

How is the course assessed?
Each unit is assessed by a series of written assignments, and practical exercises, as well as the submission of a portfolio of evidence of your assessment of two candidates in the workplace.
