- Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments will receive an OPITO Certificate: Working at Height Essentials (Combined Theory & Practical).This certificate is recognised across global energy, industrial, offshore and construction sectors.
- Duration
Training Advisory / Medical Requirements Training includes physically demanding and potentially stressful activities. All participants must be medically fit and capable of full participation.
A GSS Medical Screening Form must be completed prior to attendance.
- Who is it for
This course is designed for personnel who are required to work at height as part of their operational duties. It is suitable for technicians, operators, maintenance staff, new entrants, and experienced workers across offshore, onshore, industrial and construction environments. Participants will learn to understand the risks associated with working at height and apply safe techniques using approved equipment and procedures.
Training Objectives
By the end of this training, delegates will be able to: Understand work-at-height legislation, equipment types, hazard identification, fall-protection systems, anchor points, and preventive safety measures.Demonstrate correct use of harnesses, lanyards, connectors, and safe movement techniques while working at height.Inspect equipment, identify defects, and follow proper pre-use procedures.Apply safe climbing, access, and positioning methods under supervised practical conditions
